— Why the bench matters

What Sets Our Workshop Apart

Magnification-Level Inspection

Every movement is examined under bench-grade magnification before and after work. Faults that aren't visible to the naked eye are documented in writing.

Documented Job Cards

You receive a printed condition report, timing traces and a list of every part touched. The record travels with your watch so future workshops know exactly what was done.

Multi-Position Rate Testing

Regulation is checked across six positions on a timing machine. Bench traces before and after work are included with every overhaul so you can see the numbers yourself.

Manufacturer-Grade Lubricants

Different contact points require different viscosities. We hold the full range of MOEBIUS and Nye lubricants and apply them according to calibre specification, not convenience.

Courier Handover Option

If you are not in the Klang Valley, insured courier intake and return can be arranged. Intake packaging instructions are provided on request before dispatch.

Scope Agreement Before Work Begins

Parts replacement costs are quoted separately and confirmed before ordering. Nothing is fitted without your approval. You decide what level of intervention your piece receives.

Is Your Watch Telling the Right Time?

Most mechanical movements benefit from a service every four to six years. If yours is overdue, or running fast, slow, or intermittently — bring it to the bench for an assessment.

— Common Questions

Bench Notes

+ How long does a mechanical overhaul take?
Bench time for a standard movement overhaul runs three to five weeks. Watches requiring uncommon parts may take longer — we provide an estimated completion window at intake and notify you if sourcing changes the timeline.
+ Do I need to book an appointment to drop off my watch?
Walk-ins are welcome during workshop hours, Monday to Saturday, 10:00 to 18:00. If you are travelling from outside KL or have a detailed commission to discuss, an appointment allows us to set aside bench time for the conversation.
+ Is the quoted price fixed, or can it change?
Service fees cover bench time, standard consumables, and gaskets for normal case profiles. If worn mainsprings, jewels or other parts need replacement, those costs are quoted separately and confirmed with you before anything is ordered. No parts are fitted without written approval.
+ Can you service watches from brands you are not an authorised agent for?
Yes. We work on mechanical calibres from across the market — Swiss, Japanese and independent makers — as an independent workshop. We are not affiliated with any manufacturer, which means our advice is based on the condition of your watch rather than a warranty or upsell agenda.
+ What happens if my watch is too far gone to restore economically?
We provide a written assessment with our findings and cost estimate. If the repair cost is disproportionate to the watch's value or the extent of damage makes restoration impractical, we say so plainly. The assessment fee is credited against any work you choose to proceed with.
+ How do I ship my watch to you from outside Kuala Lumpur?
Contact us first and we will send packaging guidance. Watches should be sent via insured courier with declared value. We do not recommend registered post for items of significant value. Return shipment is handled by us and charged at cost.
+ What is included in the Heritage Restoration commission?
The commission covers a stage-by-stage photographic record, a bound condition dossier, sourcing of period or hand-fabricated parts, a full movement service and regulation, sympathetic case refinishing on request, and a presentation box for return of the piece. Duration is typically three to six months depending on parts availability and scope.
