How Every Job Moves Through the Workshop

01

Intake

Condition photographs, initial rate check, and a written assessment of the movement, case and dial. You receive this before any work begins.

02

Scope Agreement

Parts requirements are quoted separately. You approve or decline each item before it is ordered. The scope is fixed in writing before bench time begins.

03

Bench Work

Disassembly, cleaning, inspection, lubrication and reassembly carried out in-house. For heritage commissions, stage photographs accompany the work record.

04

Completion & Return

Post-service rate trace, written job card and any replaced parts returned to you. Collection in person or insured courier return on request.

Service 01

Mechanical Movement Overhaul

A full bench strip-down of a mechanical calibre. The movement is disassembled to component level, ultrasonically cleaned, inspected under magnification, re-lubricated with the correct oils and greases per contact point, then reassembled and regulated across multiple positions.

Worn mainsprings, jewels and pivots are noted and replaced where the owner approves the parts cost separately. Suited to owners of manual-wind and self-winding dress or tool watches that have run beyond their service interval or are showing rate drift. Bench time runs three to five weeks depending on parts sourcing.

  • Intake photography and written condition report
  • Timing traces recorded before and after work
  • Gasket renewal on standard case types
  • 90-day follow-up rate check after collection
  • Ultrasonic cleaning before lubrication

Water resistance testing
Best for

Owners who swim, snorkel or dive with their watch, or those who want case sealing verified ahead of a humid season or overseas trip. Also suitable after any crown or crystal replacement.

Service 02

Water Resistance Testing & Gasket Renewal

A short bench appointment covering case sealing. Crown, caseback and crystal gaskets are inspected and renewed as needed, threads are cleaned, and the sealed case is dry-tested then wet-tested to its marked depth rating.

Turnaround is usually two to four working days. Included in the service: gasket set for standard case profiles, crown tube inspection, a printed pressure test record showing the depth held, and plain notes on care habits that affect sealing over time.

Service 03

Heritage Timepiece Restoration

An extended commission for older and inherited pieces where originality matters more than speed. Work begins with a documented assessment of the movement, dial, hands and case, followed by an agreed scope that separates mechanical repair from cosmetic intervention so the owner decides how much patina to keep.

Where components are no longer in production, parts are hand-fabricated or sourced from period donor stock. Typical duration is three to six months. The commission includes photographic documentation at each stage, a bound condition dossier, sympathetic case refinishing on request, movement service and regulation, and a presentation box for return of the piece.

  • Stage-by-stage photographic record
  • Bound condition dossier on completion
  • Period or hand-fabricated parts sourcing
  • Sympathetic case refinishing on request
  • Presentation box for return
